Days 8-11 India - Kuala Lumpur Sunday 18/11 - Wednesday 21/11/12

Day 2 in India, we headed ashore for our Essential Cochin trip after breakfast. We enjoyed a lovely harbour cruise followed by a walking trip taking t0 St Francis Church, saw the cantilever Chinese Fishing Nets, the Market and then a visit to the theatre to see the traditional Indian Kathawala dance. Everything was fascinating, such wonderful colours everywhere. We headed back on board a lunch time for a bite to eat and the ship left at 3.30pm heading for Kuala Lumpur, 3 days away. ~In the evening, we had a fabulous meal on board in the Tuscan Grill Italian restaurant, one of the speciality restaurants, and then a few drinks before hitting the hay. On Monday, we relaxed sunbathing a lot of the day, with the usual eating pattern in between. The sun is glorious and very hot in this part of the world and it was nice to feel its warmth again. We enjoyed the 4.30pm bingo (no wins :-() and then before dinner had a Martini flight in the Martini Bar - WOW, what fun. 6 miniature Martinis all different flavours - yum. By the time I went to dinner at 6.30pm, I was blabbing rubbish! After another lovely dinner yet again, we headed for some roulette in the casino and I did well doubling my $60 to $125, then lost $40 on the slots. We then watched Masquerade dance show in the foyer and after some drinks, headed to bed. Tuesday was another relaxing day sunbathing with James going to some more seminars. After dinner, Margaret, Eric, Jim & I hit the Martini bar and had a flight each. What a show the barman put on, everyone was clapping and taking pics. The barman managed to hold 12 cocktail shakers at once on a stool and pour each individual glass perfectly at once! Amazing. We all then headed to the Variety show in the Theatre very happy indeed followed by some more Roulette, with more doubling of money, some Jazz with the Les De Merle quartet in the Ensemble Lounge and bed. We relaxed again on deck on Wednesday with some more seminars, Beatles trivia, Bingo, Roulette and then went to Murano Restaurant for dinner of delicious Lobster at 6pm -another of the speciality restaurants with first class food and service. After dinner, we listened to the Big Band night orchestra who were joined by the A Capella Group Ringmasters (4 young very talented Barber Shop style voices) in the foyer followed by a magical Cirque de Soleil style show in the theatre - Superb.
