Tannay - Marigny Sur Yonne, Day 9 - Sunday 19/8/12
Relaxing over! Up at 8.30am and away at 9am to avoid the heat, we headed off towards Marigny Sur Yonne, back through the 5 bridges and 6 locks again, heading back the way we came.
The heat is taking its toll on both of us, too hot for the locks, too hot at night to get a proper sleep!
We reached our stop (no facilities, despite the book saying it had!) and had a welcome cold shower aboard, and a drink in the Ecluse Bar La Mome which was a tribute to Edith Piaf. The owner's great grandfather was Edith Piaf's best friend. We booked for dinner at 7pm outside and by 8pm the place was heaving with diners. The food was incredibly good and different, James had lovely mixed seafood kebabs and I had lamb koftas, both were magic and a nice change to snails!
Another hot night with not much sleep.
