We are continuing with our garden clear up this week, and Louis attacked one of our 2 trees today, that had grown out of control. We were hoping to trim and shape it up, but there was a lot of dead growth discovered inside at the top of the tree so we decided to chop it back to where the good growth stopped. We're also worried about the height of these trees as they are very close to the telephone and electricity wires and with a fierce wind in the wrong direction, could pull the wires down. So, Louis and his chainsaw set about it and James helped load the bonfire with the debris. I helped too for a short while, promise, ask Louis! Next week, we will tackle the huge Conifer outside the front of the house. The same thing has happened to it, grown too tall and close to the wires and a lot of dead wood inside. Apparently, according to Louis, 2006 was the last time the trees were trimmed up, so that is what the problem is. Bon travail Louis and James... James was knackered after it and thought he deserved a beer in the pub for his efforts......any excuse!
