Today saw the opening of the Fete Foraine in Gueugnon at the Place de l'eglise. We both had a fab time reliving our youth (some are closer to youth than others!)on the Dodgems, a Waltzer type ride that I screamed my head off on and nearly squashed Jim to death due to the g-forces, and Jim won a cute and cuddly monkey shooting balloons, what a shot he was! We also tried to win an Angry Bird toy on the cranes, but weren't so lucky there, but we managed to win a little pup on a pillow in the arcade and also a bucket filled with some biscuits, pasta and macedoine on a spin the wheel game. The kids rides were amazingly painted and I was so disappointed I couldn't fit inside the Hello Kitty School Bus! After hours of fun and a cracking portion of chips in tomato sauce, we watched the fireworks and then headed back to the house. A Saturday night without the X-Factor - yikes!
