There was a bit of a weather window today, so we took the opportunity to move on to Marina Di Andora (this was the closest Marina we could get an available berth in as lots of the Marinas seem to be having renovation work done just now) and after fuelling up (€1.07 per litre here) we headed off at 12.30pm in calm seas and headed East at 15 knots. The visibility was pretty poor with low cloud coverage due to the persistent rain so we didn’t manage to get many photos on route unfortunately.
We arrived one hour later at 1.30pm and were met by the Harbourmaster who took our lines.
As soon as we tied up, 2 little ducks appeared and we fed them some bread, so looks like Louis from the French Canals has caught up with us! - And no doubt they will be back to waken us up each morning for their breakfast…….
At 3.30pm, we checked in at the Port Offices with our paperwork and then walked along the beach front to the village. There are lovely little shops, cafes and restaurants all along the main street with beautiful palm trees. We spotted a little Fiat 500 painted like a cow - it was so cute, we couldn’t resist taking a photo!
On Sunday there is a Horse themed event on the Beach here, and we saw them practising today, so we are going to relax here (we can relax better here than the last place as it is only 9.90€ per night here as opposed to 26€) until next Monday, when, weather permitting, we head for Savone.
Porto Di Andora is 43’57’.052N 008’009’.489E and we travelled 14.74nm today.
