Au Revoir Cannes, Bonjour Nice - Monday 23rd February, 2009

We left this morning at 11.30am, clear blue skies and crystal clear seas, heading for Nice, a short 19nm trip.
We headed East then NE and travelled on only one engine today at 8.5knots, to save fuel, and to enjoy the journey. We helmed from the flybridge soaking up the sunshine.
On route, we saw what we thought was a baby shark close to the surface, but it disappeared too quickly for us to get a photograph.
We arrived at 1.45pm and entering Nice Port was just as exciting as Cannes. The Port is small and home to huge motor yachts as well as little ones too, like GG! Our boat is starting to get an inferiority complex with the company it has been recently keeping......
We will relax and enjoy Nice likely till next Monday and visit Monaco by train from Nice, as the berthing fees are too expensive to take GG there. The train fair is only 13.20€ return for both of us and it is only a 20 minute trip. So looks like San Remo will be our next port of call, weather permitting, and it will be Au Revoir France, Salve! Italy.
Nice is 43.41.762N 007.17.116E and we travelled 19.20nm today.
This makes Nice our 73rd stop and we have travelled a total of 2086nm.
