Au Revoir Cap D'Agde, Bonjour Port Camargue - Monday 12th January, 2009

Well, we are delighted to report that the weather has turned in our favour and over the last few days, it has been clear blue skies, bright sunshine and almost NO WIND!!!!!! A huge change from the Snow 4 days ago!
We headed off this afternoon at 1.45pm, bidding farewell to Cap D’Agde, heading ENE towards Port Camargue. The weather was just perfect, the sea was an absolute flat calm and we travelled at a comfortable 15 knots with smiles on our faces, enjoying the fabulous conditions.
We passed Sete, where we had left 10 weeks ago in horrendous conditions, and managed to get super pictures of some geese heading there.
We arrived at Port Camargue at 4pm, and checked in with the Capitainerie, who very kindly showed us to a berth on his rib and picked up the buoy for us, so that we could throw him our bow line to attach and then we went astern into our berth. A piece of cake, thanks to the Capitainerie’s assistance!
It is great to have moved on again and we are looking forward to exploring Port Camargue, before heading off once again, weather permitting, towards Marseille.
Port Camargue is 43’31’.225N 004’07’.687E and we travelled 33.73nm today.
