We have had a lovely, relaxing last week here at Cap D’Agde and Jim found an excellent new Restaurant to try called Les Halles de Poisson, in the centre.
We had lunch there on Wednesday, great value at 16€ for 2 courses including 2 glasses of wine each and enjoyed starters of 6 Huitres and Moules Gratinee followed by the Plat du Jour of Tagliatelle Vongole. As this was our last lunch out before heading back home for Xmas, we finished the meal with delicious Ice Cream and Irish Coffee.
Jim also finished his painting (at last!) and it now joins mine in the Bedroom. Ok, so mine’s is much better, but at least he finished it!
Jim’s niece Hester and her partner Malcolm who live in France visited us this afternoon and after lunch on board, very kindly gave us a lift to Montpellier. They are both spending the week-end in Montpellier too and we had a lovely dinner with them in the evening.
The weather remains dry with lovely sunshine, but gusty high winds are still around, making it impossible for us to get out for a pleasant day’s sailing. Hopefully 2009 will be light winds and calmer seas.
We are looking forward to exploring Montpellier over the next couple of days and then heading home on Sunday afternoon for likely a white Xmas. Our little Pere Noel will be very lonely on board with only Ginger Grouse and Paddy Padstow for company, but it won’t be long before we are back in the land of the frogs once more to celebrate New Year...............and more adventures.
