We did our shopping in Lidl today at Montceau Les Mines, just an excuse so that we could visit the fun fair!
It was the biggest fun fair we had ever seen with endless stalls, very scary rides, bars, restaurants and even real little ponies.
We enjoyed shooting balloons with rifles and won a ceramic kitchen knife(just what I needed as ours has just gone blunt), we played 7 games of horse-racing 'Auteil' where you throw balls into holes to race your horse and won a little MP3 player, and best of all we trapped a huge 'Bee' with one of the claw machines! Bee will be buzzing to a new home when our neighbours Daniel & Noele's new grandchild arrives in October.
We didn't do any of the scary rides, Jim couldn't face the heights and I really didn't want to leave him on his own, now that would have been rude........but we both enjoyed watching!
