Chatillon en Bazois - Cercy la Tour, Day 13 - Thursday 23/8/12

We were up early at 8.15am and away for 9.00am heading for Cercy La tour, our last stop before Decize. We planned on lunching at the Fleury lock, but the restaurant was closed, so we continued, having lunch aboard, and arrived at Cercy La Tour at 3.45pm. The village had good free facilities but was a bit run down ~(although very pretty) with no decent restaurants for dinner. We walked to the top of the town to see the impressive Madonna and had a couple of beers in the Bar Flambee beside the cheeky black dog!, the only bar open.... After talking to the tourist information office, we decided to have dinner on board, as she couldn't recommend anywhere! Weather still unbearably hot, but the rain clouds could be seen closing in and we put the canopies up just in case. Just as well, as it rained quite heavy during the night and the lightning was amazing to watch. Relief to get a sleep in cooler temperatures. Jim won at Monopoly Deal again.......this is getting boring now!
