Louis and Jim have been working relentlessly in the garden, over the past couple of days and we are thankful now that most of the 'heavy' work is done.
Louis flattened the side lawn and the land at the back after the demolition work using a machine built by his brother-in-law Andre Rault, the previous owner of our house - we have never seen anything like it before, but it worked very well indeed. Louis also seeded where the old apple and pear trees were removed, raked up the moss on the existing grass and sowed some extra seeds there too. We cannot wait until our new grass starts growning and it is lovely and green again.
Good work guys - Jim especially has been really knackered as he has been labouring hard for Louis.
It was nice also to see today our fruit trees almost in full bloom and some of our lovely tulip bulbs are starting to open, Spring has definitely arrived, and fingers crossed Winter is over.
