We are delighted to announce that we 'tied our own knot' on Saturday 26th March, 2011 at Gretna Green Original Blacksmith's Shop. Billy & Kath Stewart were our Best Man and Matron of Honour. The service was conducted by Rev. David Bennett.
We would like to thank the Flower Basket, Gretna, for beautiful buttonholes and bouquets, Craig Irving our Piper, Paul Mortimer our photographer for the most superb photographs, Anvil Doves for our Heart Shaped Basket & Doves and Smith's Hotel for the most amazing food and service. It was a week-end that will remain in all our hearts forever.
We spent the most perfect 5 days on Honeymoon in Venice, soaking up the lovely sunshine, enjoying the sights, seeing Rigoletto at La Fenice Theatre, sailing on a Gondola, listening to a Violin Concerto in Church and dining in the first class Hotel Cipriani Restaurant, Fortuny. Not to mention meeting Dame Judi Dench and having a picture taken with her!
Back to reality now! James is travelling back to France on Tuesday, driving our new kitchen over and then he has the huge task of fitting it....I will follow on 16th April and work for 2 weeks from our french home, heading back for 1 week at the beginning of May to the UK again and then back and forth 3 weeks France, 1 week UK, provided it all works out well.
