Au revoir Cavalaire Sur Mer, Bonjour Saint Tropez!! - Monday 16th February, 2009

We set off at 9.30am, heading ESE towards the headland and then NE/N towards St. Tropez. The weather today was perfect for sailing, flat calm with a very slight swell and almost no wind.
We travelled at 13 knots passing Cap Lardier and Cap Camarat on route, and arrived at St. Tropez at 11am. We radioed the Harbourmaster on VHF Ch9 for approval to enter the harbour, and then we made our way to the Accueil pontoon.
Who would have thought when we left 10 months ago, that we would be tying up in St. Tropez! Unbelievable……
The Port is lovely with the Millionaires’ Motor Yachts in the Old Port and Visitors in the New Port. It is 12€ per night here including electricity and services, so great value to spend some time here at this time of year. High Season is much more expensive at 38€ per night in the New Port and 81€ in the Old Port.
We will enjoy St. Tropez for a few nights before moving on to Cannes, weather permitting.
St. Tropez is 43'16'.332N 006'38'.074E and we travelled 19nm today, taking our total mileage to 2040nm with this being our 71st stop.
