James passed away today, he lost his fight with leukaemia - his soul will be shining in Heaven now. I drank a toast just before midnight tonight of his favourite whisky, a fitting tribute to a special husband, and a fitting end to our blog.

Rose of My Heart - Tuesday 28/5/13

I was so sorry to hear, I hadn't even heard that Jim was ill.
My thoughts are with you and the wider family.
I have some very fond memories of Jim and the kindness he showed me during some tough times, ironically not least when I was having to visit a relative in the Beatson and there was always a bed and a cold beer available without question or notice.
Rest in Peace Jim.
