Joyeux Noel - Tuesday 25/12/12
Merry Christmas from la belle France! The weather is lovely and mild at the moment which makes a bit of a change as it has almost rained non-stop since we returned from Glasgow at the beginning of December.
Gueugnon has lovely Christmas lights throughout the town and outside the Church there is a Nativity Scene and Pere Noele's house for the children to visit and have their photographs taken. There is also the usual local fairground rides outside the Town Hall, which are free for the children, and a very popular Toffee Apple/Waffle/Crepe and Candyfloss van, as well as La Gare De Noel where Le Petit Train departs every half hour or so, taking the kids and adults around the village.
We had a lovely, relaxing Christmas Day, with a lot of the hard work being done on Xmas Eve, although it was still the usual panic to get everything together for our Turkey Dinner, so we took our photo before I became too red in the face with the heat from the kitchen! Check out James's new Christmas Jumper, that should keep him going for a good few years to come!
