Merry Christmas!
Thick fog and a freezing frost greeted us this lovely Christmas morning, but after a few hours, the fog gave way to a beautiful dry, crisp day.
After opening our pressies (Santa was very good to both of us - I got a new bike, smashing Sony headphones, a week in Marrakech, along with far too many little 'stocking fillers' and Jim got a new camera and lens, an overnight stay in a choice of French Chateaux and more little 'stocking fillers'.), we got the table ready, and prep'd the veggies, and then went cycling along the old road towards the little Village of Marly Sur Arroux, and then back again, trying to conserve enough energy to cook the Christmas lunch!
Now that the turkey is in the oven, I decided to try a glass of Louis' aperitif. Delicious - the red one is very like a port/sherry, and the rose one is almost like a dessert wine - the multi-talented Louis strikes again, well done....
Well, we're off now to continue with the basting and listen to some Christmas Carols in french on our new cd's - Jim bought me one, and I bought him one, thank god they were different cd's! Then, after dinner, who knows, telly, singing Robbie Williams on the Wii, scrabble, siestas, or likely all of this, but that depends on how much of Louis's aperitifs we drink!
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.
