We almost had mutiny on our hands last night when we briefed Paddy Padstow of his Pirate duties, so we decided (due to the weather being in our favour!) to head for the Scilly Isles instead!
We bid farewell to picturesque Padstow, this has been one of our favourite stops so far, and the cheapest at a mere £15 per night.
We have had such fun here playing Crazy Golf (Jim won this 8 under par!), dining out at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant, sampling all the different pubs on our Padstow Pub Crawl, and cycling along part of the Camel Trail, 5.5 miles to Wadebridge where we found an incredibly good fudge shop (Granny Wobbly’s) selling the most amazing Maple & Walnut fudge.

We left on Friday at 9 am, heading SW towards St. Mary's on the Isles of Scilly, with the weather very sunny and pleasant and the wind from the E/SE, Force 3/4 with a slight/moderate sea. We passed Trevose Head and Lands End (sea was a bit lively here!) and we arrived safely at St. Mary’s at 1.30pm travelling at a steady 18/19 knots. We then picked up a Visitor’s mooring which will be our home for the next 4 days (pictured).
St. Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly is 49’55’.128N 06’18’.795W.
Our next port of call will be Falmouth, likely heading there next Tuesday.
