Fete Du Danton

It was the Fete du Danton last Monday, and we all drove to Louis's home town of Uxeau where the festival was being held. There was a 'tour de monde' of costumes and music as well as raffles, waffles, beer, wine, shooting games, bagatelle & children's rides. There was a lovely community spirit atmosphere and even though there was much simplicity at the fete, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves very much. The views from the top of Mont Danton were amazing and the weather was beautiful for their special day. We met Louis and had a beer with him but his wife was unwell because of the hot weather so she didn't manage along.
My new office is now complete.....Yesterday we bought some new black glass office furniture and filing cabinet and with all the racing pictures on the wall and our Juke Box stereo installed, it is looking great, and is now very comfortable to work from.
Jim is a bit concerned I am going to want to spend too much time here now!
Our friends Billy & Kath left yesterday for the UK, and landed last night in a very wet Glasgow Airport. They spent over 2 weeks with us and it was a delight to have their company and help.Fingers crossed the weather in the UK improves so that they can now go sailing on their motor yacht Sahona.
The rest of the work on the house starts again on Tuesday next week, and shouldn't take much longer to finish. Just the painting of the adjacent wall to be done and the windows and that is it.
We also hope this week to home Freddy & Freda our wee frogs in their new pond and we are also going to the circus in Gueugnon on Tuesday night, updates on this to follow.....
